WELCOME TO AGA 2010

Welcome AGAers!

I want to welcome all new and returning AGA members.   For those visiting this site to get an understanding of what AGA is, I encourage you to speak to members and join us for an outing.

This year we’ll return to some popular venues, like Pumpkin Ridge’s Witch Hollow, Riverside, Tualatin and Willamette, but we are also looking to add new venues.  Details will be revealed at the annual Kick-Off Event.  Plans for this year’s National Advertising Golf Association (NAGA) tournament are also underway.  In the past years the group has visited some of the finest courses in the country, including Pinehurst, Blackwolf Run, Sawgrass, and The Broadmoor.  Stay tuned for this year’s destination and how you can qualify to be part of the Oregon AGA team.

One of the things I have enjoyed most about the group is the friendship and networking opportunities generated.  As an advertising industry networking organization, AGA offers us a chance to spend four or five hours of quality one-on-one time together once a month while playing and dining at some of Portland’s finest private and public courses.  Please help us take advantage of these opportunities and strengthen our membership by inviting clients and colleagues to events, and by extending them an invitation to join the group.

AGA of Oregon also provides a great opportunity to get involved.  Whether it’s going through the Officers’ chairs, serving on the Board of Directors, or simply helping at a tournament or our annual auction, your participation and support are what keeps AGA of Oregon one of the strongest clubs in the nation.  I want to thank everyone who has worked hard to help put this seasons schedule together.

I encourage everyone to get involved.  I look forward to seeing you and your guests on the course this year.  Play well, play often, and have fun!
